The "Water Stop Band Method" is a repair technique that uses water-expandable sponge within the water-tight rubber of the water stop section to prevent the decline in water stop performance caused by the compression permanent deformation of the water-tight rubber. The water-expandable sponge attached to the water stop section of the water-tight rubber enhances the water stop effect due to the lateral restraint force at both ends of the attachment groove.
